Discussion Post: Book Titles That Make Great Band Names

Hey Pals! Today, I’m going to be talking about 7 book titles that I think would be great as song band names! Ashmita @ the fictional journal did a post recently where she talked about various characters that would dance on Taylor Swift’s songs. Plus I guess Jesse @ Jesse The Reader (who is an amazing Booktuber) did a tag where he talked about books as song and band names. So, inspired by both of them, I decided to see how well I would do with such a post. So, thanks for the inspiration. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Note: This is a discussion post so feel free to share your views down in the comments.

1: Skyhunter by Marie Lu

If you just add an ‘s’ after the title and make it Skyhunters, I think that would be a pretty cool name. Though it would seem kind of ethereal, it would be unique too.

2: The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater

This one was used by Jesse too, and I really like the vibe of it. It somehow fits. I think this will make a popular boy band that will have deep, hard-hitting songs and a night-ish aesthetic.

3: The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

So, this one would be a little controversial because this would either be the most popular band or the least known out there…I mean, The Darkest Minds! What a name! It would definitely have songs featuring dark humor. We love that, don’t we? 😃

4: What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera

This one miiight have been inspired by Why Don’t We because it’s kinda cool to have such a name, confuses the people who have never heard of the band before. Hey, I think I’m getting at this naming band thing!!

5: Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody

Oh god, this would be like that super cool band with swoon-worthy guys who are actually pretty sweet inside, or a band of badass girls like those of BlackPink….hm yeah, I’m definitely getting good at this 😎.

6: Loveless by Alice Oseman

This would make a great band name for both male and female bands. I think the band would have songs either like those of Billie Eillish, or ones that are like Brutal by Olivia Rodrigo, girls screaming their heads off 😆.

7: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

I saved the best one for last, because you have to accept the fact that no other book title surpasses all others in being a band name! Plus, it is Six of Crows guys, SIX OF CROWS!!!!

Man, this was harder than I thought, and I’m not exactly satisfied with the results 😕. But I hope you liked this post. My creativity cells were dead when I wrote it 😵.

Anyways, that was all. I hope you liked it. Let me know a book title that you think would look cool as a band name 😀!

  1. Definitely love the Six of Crows, the Dream Thieves and the Skyhunters one. I feel that The Darkest Minds would make a good song title rather than a band name. I’m envisioning it as a philosophical song that hits home too hard.

How about Radio Silence, or One Of Us Is Lying, or even Tell Me Your Dreams?

  2. Ahhh, The dream thieves would be such an AMAZING band name!!! And six of crows too. It would make a perfect name for a band of six players. And all of them wearing black clothes or something?
    Lovely post!

  3. * I see Six of Crows, my brain explodes * ikr!!! that would be such a cool name! (OH GOD, did I just imagine Kaz Brekker singing??! 😂🥺). I also read this one book called ‘The Accidentals’ and don’t you think that would be a pretty good name too? you know, because of the double meanings and all?😁 This is such a creative post! Loved it ❤❤❤
