The Black Cat Blue Sea Award (Round 2)

Thankssss

Hey Pals!! I am really pleased to announce that I have been nominated for The Black Cat Blue Sea Award for the second time. A massive thanks to Tess @ Unbound Library for nominating me (she doesn’t blog anymore).

So well, I was tagged for this last year. And ahem, I accidentally stumbled across this post while scrolling through my drafts folder and it was completed and I thought that since I have nothing else to post right now and too much stress of exams, I might just post this. So well…telling you this is kind of embarrassing so let’s move on!

What is The Blue Cat Sea Award?

This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.”

The Rules:

  • Anybody nominated can nominate seven (lucky number) other bloggers.
  • Anybody nominated answers three questions.
  • The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
  • If any of the questions asked are offending or the nominee simply does not want to answer them, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.

Answer’s to Tess’ Questions:

Is there any book/series that has had an impact on your life? If there’s one, how?

Why did I use this-

Being the really obvious girl I can sometimes be, my super obvious answer is Harry Potter. These books kind of opened up the vastness of the world of reading to me. I loved them very much the first time I read them and it was like I had found a haven to escape to when things are going tough.

What would you do if reading or books became banned or if they never existed?

I would…um…die, I guess (but that would be pointless because my ghost will make sure to annoy me enough that I would come back to life 🙄). Well, I suppose if reading gets banned I’ll resort to other hobbies and hopefully turn at least one of them into a passion, because I would need some sort of replacement, some other thing that invests me as much as reading does or I swear I’ll go crazy.

If you could trade lives with a fictional character, would you do it? And if you had to, whom would you choose?

So, I am very lazy person so I’ll just copy paste my answer from my previous post of this award. I’m sorry for the lack of unoriginality. But anyways, here you go pals: I would happily trade places with George Weasley so I could be Fred’s twin (disregarding the tragedy) or I’d be Annabeth because that way, I would be able to date Percy 😍. I would also enjoy living the life of Adèlaïde from The Doldrums as I would have fun time with Archer and Oliver and would get to eat those delicious croissants (the egg less ones, of course).

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is wp-1602258446095.gif
And since I am very lazy person as I said, I’ll even add the same GIF, it’s good nobody would even remember since it’s been so long when I did this

I Nominate: You!! You are the most awesome blogger I have come across and You totally deserve this award. So, I nominate You!! Notify me if you do the post.

My Questions to You:

  1. What do you make of the title of this award?
  2. Share some guilty pleasures.
  3. Give a book/movie recommendation to keep us engrossed.

That’s all for me. Lemme know down in the comments what you would do if your passion somehow gets banned, be it reading or some other hobby 😀.

Ps- To all the bloggers out there, who used to follow Pannaga, it’s her birthday today!! Happy birthday, Panna, I hope you have the best day ever 🤩🥳🎉.

The Indian Sweets’ Lover Award and The Cookie Lover Award!

Happy Makar Sankranti, guys!!

Hey Pals!! So, today is a popular Indian festival called Makar Sankranti…for more details just Google it, I’m kinda ahem, somewhere between lazy and tired 😶. On occasion of this festival, I’ll be doing The Indian Sweets’ Lover Award!!

I’m probably one of those people who will get diabetes when they grow up because I eat way too many sweets for my own good…but you can’t blame me, sweets are the best 😭🖐️. And Indian sweets are unbeatable!

I was nominated by Prashansa @ Reader’s Alcove (who is also the creator of the award), Rabhya @ Rab’s Bookish Planet, Srishti @ The Srishti Blog, and Dhriti @ The Tomboy Diaries. Thanks to all of them! The first three have awesome book blogs with great tags and reviews, and the fourth one is a younger blogger who writes some really cool poems! I was also tagged by Anjali @ Studio AD, a blog I recently discovered. Go check out these blogs, guys! Now, let’s get started!!

The Indian Sweets’ Lover Award

The Rules:

  • Thank the person/fellow Indian sweets’ lover who nominated you! (or whose blog you found out about this award through)
  • Answer the 5 Indian sweets-related questions and add one of your own!
  • Share some pictures of your all time favorite Indian sweets.
  • Nominate 5 or more bloggers who love Indian sweets and leave an open nomination for every Indian sweets’ lover around the world.

1: What are your top three favorite Indian sweets?

How dare you ask just three?! This is gonna be so hard, uff. Well, okay so I have Rasmalai, Malaipuri, Ghewar and malai chaap (yeah, these are four, sorry cannot choose 3). Oh and also, there is this really popular watermelon-shaped barfi that is often eaten at weddings- I love that too!

2: What’s an Indian sweet you haven’t tried yet but really want to?

Bold of you to assume that I have not tried a sweet. Just kidding, lemme think…hmm, I do not think that I have ever had Shahi Tukda before, so I would love to give it a shot.

3: Name one sweet which is traditionally made in your city/state (This was also Srishti’s question)

Oof, that would mean I would have to reveal my city. Without being explicit, I am just gonna say that the petha of my city is famous worldwide.

4: Which kind of ladoo is your favorite?

I think my favourite are besan ladoo, they always make me drool!

5: Have you ever tried a chocolate flavored Indian sweet? If yes, name it.

Yes, chocolate petha! It is very good, you will not be disappointed!

6: Dhriti’s question- What kind of Indian sweet are you?

I took this quiz to find out and I got Kaju Katli apparently…which is the one sweet I actually find kinda boring, but okay.

7: Rabhya’s Question-  One sweet that you can eat for the rest of your life?

Can I though? I think rasmalai because it is neither too sweet nor does it lack sweetness. And I would be content eating it daily, hehe.

Here is my question- What is your least favorite Indian sweet?

And here are the pictures of some cool Indian sweets!

So this is the famous jalebi 😃
This is malaipuri 🤩
And this is the watermelon-shaped barfi I was talking about 🤤
And these are a combination of various sweets *dies of hunger*

I nominate:

No pressure on y’all, only do the award if you can and want to.

  1. Mokshba di @ Happy Panda
  2. Sam @ Diary of a Dreamer
  3. Khushi and Kunjal @ Duo Disseminators
  4. Siya @The Dramatic Drama
  5. Shivi @ Shivictionary
  6. You!! If you love Indian sweets and want to try out this awesome award, go for it ‘coz I tag You!

The Cookie Lover Award

I was tagged for this a long time ago by Siran @ Far from perfect. She writes fabulous poems, guys, you need to check out her blog! Also Simran, you didn’t specify any questions so I just answered the ones that you answered, lol. Now, let’s do this!!

Also, I can’t figure out who the creator is, so sorry about that.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person/fellow cookie lover who nominated you! (or whose blog you found out about this award through)
  • Answer the cookie-related questions and add one of your own!
  • Share some pictures of cookies you adore! (can be pics you’ve taken or ones from online, just be sure to give credit where credit is due.)
  • Nominate 5 or more bloggers who love cookies and leave an open nomination for every cookie lover around the world!

1: What are your top three favorite types of cookies?

Chocolate-chip cookies for sure, then there are these biscuits called Dark Fantasy which are way too good for anyone’s good. And my sister made some at home once, I do not know what they are called but they rocked!

Fig rolls! They look so yum!!

A Dark Fantasy biscuit, hehe.

I would be an oreo, because people really love them and they are used in almost all kinds of other desserts.

5: Why do you love cookies?

What sort of an absurdly ridiculous question is that 🙂? That is like asking a reader why they love reading or asking somebody who is gonna commit suicide why they love dying (which technically, they don’t, but that is beside the point). I love cookies bEcAuSe tHeY aRe sWeEt !!

6: Have you ever tried making cookies at home and how did they turn out?

Nope never. I do not like cooking…like at all!

My question: What is in the middle of cookies?

And here are is a picture of cookies!

So my mom made these once!

Once again, no pressure if you do not want to do this.

  1. Dhriti @ The Tomboy Diaries
  2. Naemi @ A Book Owl’s Corner
  3. Ashmita @ the fictional journal
  4. Sahi @ My World of Books
  5. Stara @ The Pool Of Thoughts
  6. You!! If you love cookies and want to try out this awesome award, go for it ‘coz I tag You!

That’s all! I hope you enjoyed reading it! Do you like Indian sweets? Let me know an Indian sweet that is your favorite, down in the comments! 😀

The Aesthete Blogger Award

Yes, I’m doing this award, and you’ll be delighted to know that I don’t even know what the word “aesthete” means 😃.

Hey Pals!! Today, I’m doing The Aesthete Blogger Award. I was nominated by the ✨creator✨ Ashmita @ the fictional journal herseld, and also my Priyamvada @ #DiscoverYou and Betty @ The box of Wonder!. And since I like the sound of the word “aesthete”, I am going to do this tag (oh btw, I still didn’t google what the word means). Thanks for the tag, guys, do check out these blogs because they have fabulous content!

The Rules:

  • Use the official logo/graphic of the award and display it on your blog.
  • List the rules.
  • Show some love to the one who nominated you!
  • Mention the creator (Asmita@ the Fictional Journal) and link it back to the original post.
  • Tell me a something about this world that you admire.
  • What is your favourite form of creativity?
  • Nominate 7 lovely people and notify them by commenting on their posts; spread some love!
  • Ask your nominees 4 questions.
  • Share something you created. (can be anything!)
  • And lastly, just so you know: I LOVE YOUR CREATIONS!

Asmita’s Questions:

1: What colour is your soul?

I took this quiz on Buzzfeed to find this out, and they said blue. Hehe, that’s my favorite color too! Apparently, “I have an honorable soul and I strive to always do what’s right.” 😇

2: Think about your happiest memory. Then tell me the book/song that you are reminded of?

Okay so, my sister got married recently. And her marriage was of two days, and it was in Ranthambore (a place in Rajasthan, India). And I literally had the time of my life. If I could live any moment of my life again, it would be those days. It was so good! I was so confident about my looks, my clothes, my demeanour, and just about everything.

The book this reminds me of is The Selection by Kiera Cass, because America had to wear all these gorgeous outfits just like I did 😍.

3: Finish the sentence: once upon a time, there lived a turtle in…

…a shell, but you see, the shell was a tad bit too hard for the turtle to be able to break through, so he was never able to hatch because he suffocated to death before even being born.

This is called dark humor, kids. 🙂

4: Do you have an aesthetic?/What is your favourite aestheitc?

Oh, so that’s what you meant by aesthete!! Anyways, after doing lots of research, I think I might fit under either the light academia aesthetic or the indiecore, I am not sure.

Priyamvada’s Questions

1: How would you describe yourself in three words?

I’m an apple.

2: As per you, what’s the best part about being a kid?

Being ignorant. Half the times, you just don’t know what is happening around you, you’re not worrying about making memories or thinking about moments slipping away in seconds, you’re just…living.

3: What memory makes you feel the most nostalgic?

My sister’s wedding, hehe.

4: If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I am a little insecure about my body, not gonna lie. So, I would change my constant worrying about how I look, etc etc.

Betty’s Questions

1: When do you usually listen to songs?

When I’m hanging upside down from the chandelier-

Heh, no. I have no particular time. I listen whenever I feel like it.

2: Which book would you recommend to people who don’t read books?

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

This was an addicting read, and it can leave a good impact on you, the kind of impact that you don’t even realize hit you until after a long time has gone since you finished it. It’s got mystery, drama, romance, and overall, it does a great job in depicting the ugly reality of life.

3: What would be your site’s name if not what it is now.

Books and Words, because my genius brain did the mistake of naming my blog that once.

4: What are you obsessed with?

Books, as if you didn’t know that already. But apart from the usual answer, I’m also obsessed with…um…with uh…um…eh, I can’t think of anything other than apples 😒.

I tag:

  1. Kira @ Kira Jeanette
  2. Sep @ Bookishly Yours
  3. Dhriti @ The Tomboy Diaries
  4. Simran @ Far From Perfect
  5. Devangi @ Just penning down my thoughts
  6. Harini @ Book Spiral
  7. You! If you want to do this award, go for it! I can’t wait to read your answers, so I tag you!!

My questions:

  1. What’s a stereotypical assumption people have of you?
  2. Who was the last person you told a secret to?
  3. If somebody gave you a million dollars to spend for 24 hours, what would you do with that money?
  4. Finish the sentence: I looked at the man in the frock…

That’s it! I hope you enjoyed it? Let me know what you would do if you were given a million dollars for a day, in the comments 😀.

The Sunshine Blogger Awards 🌞

Hey Pals!! I am really happy to announce that I have been nominated for The Sunshine Blogger Award by six wonderful bloggers. Merlin, how did I manage that many!? 🤩

First, I would like to thank Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for the nomination. She has bookish content ranging from tags to reviews and her site is super awesome. Another big thanks to Divya Didi @ The Mindful Homemaker by Divya for considering me worthy for this award. She talks about self help stuff and I can assure you that it’s a brilliant. Thank you so much to Tiction @ Fictionally Crazy for nominating me, the girl is on a hiatus right now 😒, and it will be an understatement to say that I miss her posts. Thanks to Lilly @ Lilly’s Little Library for nominating me too, she’s back from her hiatus, so do check out her posts out. Next up, thanks to Anushka @ Anushka Stories, she writes some really beautiful poems you should never miss out. And the latest one- Jessica @ The Awkward Book Blogger, her bookish content is just as cool as any other!

There’s a high chance I’ve missed somebody by mistake. It’s because of the fact that I save all the tags I get tagged for and one day, half of them got deleted when I uninstalled WordPress 😐.

And lastly, sorry if this post is way too late 😭. If it’s any consolation, I had prepared this draft way back, and I edited and updated it today. Also, if any of you ever tagged me for anything, it’s on the way, it’s just taking time. Also, to make this post not too long and bore you to death, I will be skipping the questions are repeated.

The Rules

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

Answers to Riddhi’s Questions

When and why did you start blogging?

I started blogging on 17 May, 2020. It was the time when quite a few of my classmates had put Whatsapp statuses of the blogs they wrote so that sparked my interest in blogging. My elder sister’s roommate, who also happens to be my first follower here: Aastha Didi @ Parinda suggested WordPress and here, out of boredom, inspiration, interest and a need to make my thoughts known to people, I posted my first blog, a short story names A Haunted Adventure in Broad Daylight. I put it in a link just in case you want to check it out.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

I love making new friends here, sharing my ideas and discovering new blogs. It’s a really friendly community and I love interacting with new bloggers. I find real joy in writing my posts because it’s just way too fun and I like it when people read them, and even comment.

What is your least favorite thing about blogging?

Umm… I guess, I spend too much time blogging and that increases my screen time which is really not good for my eyes that already need spectacles.

What are your hobbies besides blogging?

Listening to songs
Chatting with friends
Reading

What would the title of your biography/biopic be?

Nehal the Apple!! 😀

Some advice for people who have just started blogging

One: Don’t ever give up… you might think no one reads your blogs, that’s not true. And if it is, go around making blogging friends, it’s a friendly community. Just don’t give up!! That’s the 🔑.

Two: Make sure you utilize maximum features of WordPress, that you are passionate about blogging, that it gives you joy. If it causes pressure, there is no fun in it.

Three: Do not compare yourself with other bloggers (another thing I can’t do at times). Be happy and content with the number of followers you already have. A soul, named me, once said: Strive to be better but do not lose your good in the process.

Yeah, look at me, trying to sound all experienced, *pats herself on the back*.

Describe yourself in seven words (Cause it’s the seveth question)

A girl parrying her way through life.

Dogs or Cats?

Dogs!

A TV show you can binge-watch forever?

Mahabharata… Did I ever tell you that I can never ever get over the beauty of Shaheer Sheikh!!

Just look at him! Just look at him, okay? How can someone not fall in love with him!? He’s the most gorgeous, beautiful and the sweetest Bollywood celebrity of all time.

One of his pics from Mahabharata

And no, I’m not done yet, look at him again. Here:

I am really sorry, but i can’t help it, he’s just so adorable 😍😍.

A song you relate to? / A song you will never get tired of listening

A song that I totally relate to and love with all my heart is Tera Yaar Hun Main by Arijit Singh.

Who is your favorite author?

Neil Gaiman!! I just love his writing style, the way he makes me imagine stuff as if it is happening in front of my eyes. He’s a big inspiration.

Answers to Divya Didi’s Questions:

Do you like to travel? What was the last place you visited?

Oh, I indeed love traveling to new places, exploring different ideas and cultures but I haven’t been to many places actually. The last place I visited was Mukteshwar, near Nainital.

Do you spend time looking at the sky? Or do you find it boring?

I do believe that sky is a really magical thing. I don’t find it at all boring to gaze at the sky, something or the other always catches my attention. But I don’t look up at the sky that often.

Your favorite childhood memory

Though I still like to call myself a child I get the point of this question. I am really fond of playing with my BFF in school. 6th to 8th standard were the best years of my life. I had so much fun playing with my friends until these harsh times took it all away 😅. There is still hope to make good memories in the future.

What do you do when you feel bored?

What is the important morning ritual you practise to make the rest of your day happy?

I do yoga exercises lots of times though 😂, so yeah.

Do you read books? What is your all time favorite book?

Of course I don’t, haven’t read a single one 🙂.

What is your favorite color?

It was always 💙 but recently I have acquired a fascination towards 🖤.

Do you have any interesting family ritual?

There is one…umm…😅

Do you like to write your goals in a paper or prefer using gadgets?

If they are reading goals like monthly TBRs and stuff, I note it all down in a journal. But if it’s blog post ideas, crazy dreams I had or interesting writing prompts, I put it all in the “Notes” app.

What is one food you can eat all three times a day?

Apple, to nobody’s surprise.

What is the important lesson life has taught you?

That I am lucky and grateful for all that I have been given. Hard times come and go, all I need to know is to never give up (this is such a struggle at times).

Answers to Tiction’s Questions:

What is your spirit animal (And, no, Joey won’t work, if you know what I mean)?

So, I just asked Tiction herself what a spirit animal means. Lol! And from what I figured is that it’s an animal you relate to. I guess that would be a rabbit or a squirrel because I love them, they are so cute I get way too excited at times which I associate with these two cuties.

Do you play a musical instrument? Which one? and, if not, which one would you like to?

Well, I love playing the guitar. And right now, I don’t wanna learn any other instrument apart from drums.

What is the movie you can watch forever?

None, I’ll probably get bored pretty quick.

Describe yourself in six words.

Bookdragon, weirdo, emotional, short-tempered, lazy, hard-working.

What song makes you dance so much that people look at you weird?

Khalibali 🤭!! This is the part where people realize how very weird I can be. But believe me when I say that I practically know all the steps of this song and love to dance like a monkey when alone in a room on this song.

Also, Bala!! If you haven’t gone utterly crazy upon hearing the beats of this song, you are seriously missing out. It doesn’t matter if you’re an Indian or not, you will still love it.Last to last year, all that I did at school was dance like hell at this song (oh, fun times, I want ’em back 🤧)

What memory is the closest to your heart?

Man, where are these deep questions coming from Tiction!? Well, I was extremely happy when I got the Harry Potter series but I have now moved past that feeling. I guess all the fun me and my bestie have had in these last 4 years all combine to form a perfect memory I will treasure forever. Plus, I’ll never forget my time with TWC.

If you could change your name, what would you change it too.

Glad you asked. Here you go:

  • Eleanor
  • Anjali
  • Luna
  • Ishita
  • Caroline
  • Arushi (that’s one of my friends’ names btw. I’ll make sure that I never let her read this post)
  • Hermione
  • Shraddha
  • Cassidy
  • Aditi
  • Jenna
  • Believe me, the list goes on. But yeah, I also really love my name so wouldn’t ever change it 😌.

10: What is your favorite book? (Can be many!)

Last year I would have said Harry Potter, now I guess it’s Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman, but honestly, I can’t be sure, there are so many great books to read out there.

Lilly’s Questions:

What’s your favourite book genre?

Historical fiction! Yes, it comes as a surprise to me too, I used to hate this genre, but now I devour these books because I just love them so much.

What’s your favourite blog?

Okay, um…you did NOT just ask that, lol 😂🤨. How do I even say anything!? I love so many blogs I follow, but if I comment a lot on any blog, that means it is one of my favourites.

What is your least favourite book?

This is a hard one. I guess any book I give 1 star rating, for instance- I thoroughly despise A Wrinkle in Time, it went from being my favourite to least favourite.

What point in time would you want to live in?

World War 2, yes, that’s how much I am crazy for historical fiction.

What’s your favourite ice cream flavour?

bUTteRcOtcH!

Anushka’s Questions:

What is the best thing about my blog? (Anushka Stories)

I love your poems, Anushka! The visual imagery in them is so good, I wish I could write like that too!!

Who is your favourite character in a story book and why?

Leo Valdez, Magnus Chase, Nate Macauley, Remus Lupin, Rudy Steiner.

Who do you love the most? and why?

Uh…that’s a very *ahem* thought provoking question! Will give it lots of thought and then *ahem* skip it….*runs*

Would you rather help a person or ask a person for help?

I would rather help a person, I kind of have this thing where it is hard for me to let people in to help me, and if I do ask them, I feel very bad and just not tell them what happened. I love helping people out though (and I am not bragging or anything).

Mention some weird things you usually do?

Most of the things I do are pretty weird, I chew on the back of my pen too much, I talk super fast, I laugh at the wrong situations, I use random emojis for sarcasm, lol, the list goes on.

Do you like reading in the library or would you like to read online.

Library!!

Jessica’s Questions:

What is your favourite book you’ve read so far this year?

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. This is one book that I think deserves all the hype it gets and much more, I absolutely loved this book, it was so beautiful and heart-wrenching!

What is one of your guilty pleasures?

Sweets! I can’t live without sweets!!

If you could have any fictional creature as a pet, which one would you choose?

A pygmy puff! Aren’t they just so cute!?

Name a fun fact about yourself.

Hm…🤔 Well, I guess most of you might not know this, but I really love taking part in anything related to narration, acting and speaking.

Any authors/books you’ll never read?

I will probably never read any other book by Sarah J. Mass and John Green, not because they are bad but because I guess they are just not my type.

What is the best movie/TV show that you’ve watched this year?

I haven’t watched a single new movie this year, but I have started watching Friends and it’s actually pretty good, I don’t LOVE it like most people do, but I really enjoy it!

If you could switch spots with any character in a book/movie/TV show, who would it be and why?

I would be Annabeth Chase, that way I would have loads of adventures and get to have Percy!

What kind of music do you like listening to?

Pop and country usually.

Name your last 1 star read.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne. I feel kinda confused between a 1 star and 2 star for this one, so I’ll say 1.5. This book was very disappointing.

Would you rather have the ending of every book you read spoiled or be able to read a book without being spoiled but never know the ending?

How cruel! I would rather get the end spoiled, the suspense of not knowing what happens would just kill me.

Aaaand that was it, the final edited and updated draft of my Sunshine Blogger Award, I am so so happy that this is finally out. It was about time. If you have actually read this far, I applaud you 😃, and I love you, for this means a lot for I know how busy our lives are these days.

A lot! I have been nominated for several awards on WordPress but I always thought that the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award was something really special because I really appreciate Vincent. I love his blogs, always make me laugh, and his genuine love for all other bloggers is truly fantastic. So yeah, this award means a lot to me.

Thanks to Sanskriti @ Portals into Books for nominating me. She is a new book blogger in the community and has fun posts, so do show some support.

Another thanks to Poorwa @ Poorwa’s Blog for nominating me. She’s a really sweet person with diverse posts, don’t miss them out either.

Thanks to Aakriti @ Recipe of Life for the nomination. My fraaand here has some amazing posts of various kinds, so go check ’em out too.

What is the Mystery Blogger Award?

“The Mystery Blogger Award is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.”

Answers to Sanskriti’s Questions:

Who’s your favorite character from all the books you’ve read?

Leo Valdez 💖.

What is something you always look for in books?

Just a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat. A story that completely breaks me. A story that makes me laugh out loud. Just about anything that makes me enjoy and love the book.

Do the covers of the books matter to you?

Absolutely 😀! *yeah, look at me confessing without any shame* I tend to be interested in books with gorgeous covers and usually don’t read ones with weird covers…weird as in ones I don’t like.

Do you prefer cooking or baking?

None! I only prefer eating 😋.

Who’s your all-time favorite author?

Neil Gaiman. I love that he’s not just a fabulous story-writer but also an incredible storyteller.

Answers to Poorwa’s Questions:

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?

Making lovely friends here!

Do you worry a lot?

Yeah, I guess 😓. I try not to but then again, who doesn’t?

Do you like to take risks or play safe?

I absolutely love taking risks 😁. Just for fun, I sometimes even change my name in school Zoom meetings from Nehal to Spongebob, cause why not!?

What’s the color that reflects your personality?

I literally just took a Buzzfeed quiz to find this out. And it says 💚, says that I am “calm”. Which, if you know me in real life, is not the first word you would use to describe me 😂. So I don’t know.

What’s the one thing you don’t like about yourself?

My inability to control my anger.

Answers to Aakriti’s Questions:

Do you want to change your blogging niche?

Hmm… I don’t think so.

What is a perfect weekend in your perspective?

One where I read…and read…read again…read some more…and basically keep reading for 48 hours straight 😍.

Sweet or Savory, what do you prefer?

Sweet 😋. Have you ever had balushai? It is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!

Are you productive?

Absolutely not 😃.

If tomato is a fruit then why isn’t tomato puree a smoothie?

Reveal me thy secrets tomato

Hmm…🤔 I guess it’s because tomato puree isn’t tasty like smoothie.

Answers to Riddhi’s Questions:

What is one Christmas themed book you read in 2020?

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

What is your fatal flaw? (Yes, you can take a quiz to find out)

Why take a quiz, when you can take three 😂!? Of all the results, the only one that felt even a bit close to reality was: I work alone.

What is you Hogwarts house?

Gryffindor! And a little bit of Slytherin, I guess.

Who is your godly parent?

I guess Poseidon…I love water 😬.

Name three authors whose books you read in 2020 for the first time.

Sarah J. Mass, John Green and Kaise West.

Here are three facts about me:

The Beautiful Blogger Award

Hey Pals!! I’m so delighted to announce that I’ve been nominated for the Beautiful Blogger Award!! I was nominated by Shivi @ Shivictionary. She has an all-in-one kind of a blog, from memes to riddles, she misses nothing. So go check her out. As for the award, let’s begin!

The Rules:

  • Link to the blogger who has nominated you.
  • List 7 random facts about you.
  • Nominate 7 creative, beautiful bloggers and let them know about the nominations

7 Random Facts About Me:

This might be hard considering y’all know pretty much everything about me already 😂. But I’ll try:

  • My birthday is on 20th March.
  • I live in India, that seemed obvious 😜 (and that’s it, the formal facts end here).
  • One of my favorite and least favorite emojis is “🙂” this.
  • I love Shinchan.
  • I also love Spongebob memes though I am guilty of never having watched the show 🤫.
  • I prefer audiobooks over all other book formats, not because they are better (which they aren’t) but because of how much they have helped me.
  • I don’t like cooking.

I Tag:

This is an open nomination. It seems really unfair to me to tag just 7 bloggers when my belief is that every human is beautiful! So I tag Everyone. I would love it if y’all decide to participate. Don’t hesitate to accept it. I tag YOU 😃!

That’s all. Thanks for reading. Let me know if you have ever watched Shinchan 😁. And do participate in the award if you like. Stay safe. Ciao!!

Hey Pals!! I am so happy to announce that I have been nominated for The Outstanding Blogger Award by two lovely blogger friends.

A huge thanks to Aanya @ Soaring Firebolt for nominating me. Guys, go check out her site, it’s filled with stuff every Potterhead would love plus she even has her own book out which is so c.o.o.l. I highly recommend visiting her blogs.

Another big thanks to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for the nomination. She has loads of bookish content, as well as her own tag, Just Some Bibliophilic Things, which is so f.a.b. Don’t miss out her fun blog either.

This award was created by Colton Beckwith. This is the original post!

Also, the second week’s prompt for GIF-y Love is now out on Tiction’s blog for anyone to participate. Check it out here.

The Rules:

  1. Provide the link to the creator’s original award post. (very important: see why in step 5)
  2. Answer the questions provided.
  3. Create 7 unique questions.
  4. Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the award’s creator, nor the blogger that nominated you, can be nominated.
  5. At the end of 2020, every blog that ping-backs the creator’s original post will be entered to win the 2020 Outstanding Blogger Award!

My Answers to Riddhi’s Questions:

(Aanya wrote in her post to choose any questions from the ones she answered but honestly, I tried but couldn’t do it 😅. Even in exams, choice questions make me go bananas. I’m sorry, my bad! Hope you don’t mind Aanya. I’ll just answer Riddhi’s questions.)

1: What’s the one thing you’ll never do?

Huh 😂? Idk, this question made me laugh. This is weird. Probably never eat anything non-veg. Sorry pals, creativity seems to be zero right now. Again, what is this question Riddhi 😂!?

2: One book you will protect with your life?

Omg none! As much as I love books, life is way more important 😱!

3: The most tragic moment of your life? (If you do not mind sharing)

Ah, let’s not talk about it right now and spoil the happy mood of anyone here, huh?

4: One thing you enjoyed about staying at home for the past few months?

Talking with friends and chatting with them on WhatsApp between classes. It is so much fun.

5. The one food that you will eat, even on a full stomach?

What better time to use the site icon, huh 😀!?

Cause an apple a day…never did keep the doctor away from me 😖. But anyways, I love apple way too much. I like NEED it as a salad at lunch and dinner. I have an addiction to apples.

6: One book that you can reread forever and not get bored?

Harreh Pottah!!

7. Which post that you have written is your favourite? Share the link as well.

I wrote a post named It Will Hurt. It’s a fun, short story that I wrote and I think y’all might like it.

150 Followers, 1000 Likes, My Bestie’s B’day and an Award Nomination🤩 (Thank You, Pals!!)

Hey Pals!! I would like to give you all a BIG THANKS for making this possible. I am thankful to each one of you. Recently, I hit more than 150 followers as well as 1000+ likes!!

Ahh, thank you so much to all for supporting me 🤗. You are all great friends and talented, wonderful people. Thank you so much 💖.

And today is also my best friend Ipsita’s birthday 🎉. I know she isn’t on WordPress but she’s one of the most special people in my life and I just couldn’t not talk about it here when I am posting on that day.

💖 HAVE THE BEST BIRTHDAY IPPU 💖

I am going to visit her today and we’re gonna have so much fun after a full eternity 😌. We’ve missed each other so much and I am soooooo excited!!!!!! Best wishes to my cute bestie in every fields of life 😀.

I am also pleased to announce that I have been nominated for The Black Cat Blue Sea Award by Riddhi @ Whispering Stories. Thanks for the nomination Riddhi. She has an incredible site, she even has her own weekly tag, Just Some Bibliophilic Things, which is pretty cool. Make sure you check it out.

What is the Black Cat Blue Sea Award

This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.

Answers to Riddhi’s Questions:

1. What is the one (or more) thing you want to do before you die?

I would love to give myself a haircut, and that too a silly one, at least once 😁. Has anyone here done that?

2: Are you an extrovert or an introvert? What is your favourite thing about being an extrovert or an introvert (whichever you are)?

I think I am an ambivert. It helps me share as much as I think I can without sharing too much, so that’s something I like about it. Though I am not sure if I am an ambivert 😅, I just prefer to think I am.

3: If you could trade lives with the fictional character would you do it? And if you had to, whom would you choose?

I am not sure I would. I would love to but not many fictional characters that I love are vegetarians 😂 and I can’t change that about me. But, if I exclude that, then I guess I would happily trade places with George Weasley so I could be Fred’s twin (disregarding the tragedy) or I’d be Annabeth because that way, I would be able to date Percy 😍. I would also enjoy living the life of Adèlaïde from The Doldrums as I would have fun time with Archer and Oliver and would get to eat those delicious croissants (the egg less ones, of course).

I Nominate:

This is such a fun and unique award, I wish I could nominate more than seven 😦. But I’ll stick with the rules. So here are my nominees:

  1. Soni Didi @ Soni’s thoughts
  2. Snoopy Doo @ snoopydoo77
  3. Divya Didi @ The Mindful Homemaker by Divya
  4. Madeline @ Bookish Mutant
  5. Jheel @ fantasybookworm!
  6. Claudia @ Claudia Reads Books
  7. Lucy @ Sunstar Books

Questions for my Nominees:

1: What is the one thing you want to do before you die (I’m gonna steal your first question Riddhi because it’s fab)?
2: Name one of your guilty pleasures.
3: If you could star as the main character in a movie, which one would it be?

That’s all. Thanks for reading and supporting ❤. I literally had so much fun answering these questions. I hope my nominees have fun answering mine (if they do the award). Let me know one of your guilty pleasures in the comments, irregardless whether I nominated you or not. Stay safe. Ciao!!

A: Fantasy, sci-fi and dystopian.

Q: One genre have you never read?
A: I couldn’t come up with anything much except adult romance. Lol😅!
