Song Review- Spring Day by BTS

I recently posted a blog on crushes and now I am posting one on a song. Do you think it’s still a good idea to call my blog a book blog? 🙂

Hey Pals!! Today, I’m doing my very first song review! This was inspired by Riddhi @ Whispering Stories who did a few song reviews recently, and also by Panna @ State Of Craze who did tons of them. Do check out both their posts. Also, the featured image is taken from Google.

As for the review, I’ll be highlighting my favourite lyrics, and then talking about my feelings for the song. I know you all have probably heard this song but I listened to it pretty recently. So, let’s start then!!

Spring Day- Lyrics (English Translated):

[Verse 1: RM & Jung Kook]
I miss you
Saying this makes me miss you all even more
I miss you
Even though I’m looking at your photo
Time’s so cruel, I hate us
Seeing each other is now more difficult
It’s all winter here, even in August
My heart is running on time, alone on the Snowpiercer
I want to go to the other side of Earth, holding your hand, put an end to winter
How much should my longings fall like snow
Before the days of spring return, friend?

[Pre-Chorus: Jimin, V]
Like the tiny dust, tiny dust floating in the air
I could’ve reached you faster
If I was snow flying in the air

[Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook, V & j-hope]
Snowflakes fall down
And fall apart little by little
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
How long do I have to wait
How many nights do I have to pass
To see you? (To see you)
To meet you? (To meet you)

[Post-Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook]
Pass the end of winter’s cold
Until the spring day comes again
Until the flowers bloom again
Please stay, please stay there a little longer

[Verse 2: Suga, Jimin]
Is it you who changed? (Is it you who changed)
Or is it me? (Or is it me)
I hate this moment, this time flowing by
We’ve changed, you know?
Just like everyone, you know?
Yes, I hate you, you left me
But I never stopped thinking about you, not even a day
I miss you, honestly, but I’ll erase you
‘Cause it hurts less than to blame you

[Pre-Chorus: Jin, Jimin]
I try to exhale you in pain
Like smoke, like white smoke
I say that I’ll erase you
But I can’t really let you go yet

[Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook, V & j-hope]
Snowflakes fall down
And fall apart little by little
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
How long do I have to wait
And how many nights do I have to pass
To see you? (To see you)
To meet you? (To meet you)

[Bridge: V, Jung Kook, Jimin]
You know it all, you’re my best friend
The morning will come again
No darkness, no season can’t last forever

[Chorus: Jimin & j-hope, Jung Kook, Jung Kook & j-hope, V]
Maybe cherries are blossoming
And winter is going to be over
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
Wait a little bit, just a few more nights
I’ll be there to see you (I’ll go there to meet you)
I’ll come for you (I’ll come for you)

[Post-Chorus: Jin & j-hope, Jin]
Pass the end of winter’s cold
Until the spring day comes again
Until the flowers bloom again
Please stay, please stay there a little longer

Okay, can I just say, every time I listen to this song, I feel like crying? (Not really, but well). It feels so magical, ethereal, like something this good cannot be humanly possible. I mean, this is such a beautiful song 😭✋. Even without reading the lyrics, I couldn’t stop listening to it and I love it so much more now that I have read the lyrics.

Though I still don’t think I’m an ARMY, I recommend this song to all those who want to join the fandom, because this is a masterpiece!!

The only thing I can say that isn’t praising this song, is that I can’t listen to it on repeat for like…more than 2 times. I can’t listen to any BTS song on repeat for that matter 😂.

My favorite parts of the song:

The pre-chorus has my heart for the most beautiful song pre-chorus ever known to mankind (I am not even exaggerating). It’s not even the lyrics, it’s their voices. The voices are so lovely and in harmony that it’s enough to make my heart swell.

But it’s the chorus guys, it’s the freaking chorus! Nobody should have a right to sing something this damn good 🤕. I love the way it begins, almost like an exhale, so soft and pure. The way they sing I miss you is so good. I also like how it ends on “I’ll be there to see you, I’ll come to meet you,” and the voices dip down a little…

I think this song gives a lot more feels while listening to it and reading the English lyrics simultaneously.

The voices and the beat:

I love the voices! I love how somehow when the guys are singing, it feels so heartfelt that it feels like only one person is singing, just pouring their heart out. Especially the pre-chorus and chorus! How could they have such magical voices 😭?!

I know at this point I’m just gushing about it, which is something I rarely do, but I just can’t point out a single thing wrong with this!!!!!!!!! So, instead of considering this a song review, consider this reasons why this song should not be missed by anyone!

I also like the soft beat of the song, I love the dip in their voices and then the slightly high notes in the chorus. The repetition of phrases like “I miss you”, “please stay”, and “I’ll come for you” adds so much for feels to the song.

Though it does have that shrill edge to it that I find in most BTS songs that makes me know if I listen to it too much, I would get bored easily. But apart from that, this song is awesome boy!

Overall:

yOu sTiLl tHiNk i hAvE aNyThInG bAd tO sAy aBoUt tHiS?! i fReAkInG lOvE tHiS sOnG fRoM tHe bOtToM oF mY fReAkInG hEaRt!!!!

5/5 stars, babe!

So, that was all! My first ever song review, which turned into my first ever gushing about a song, or anything for that matter, post on my blog! This is probably one my favourite song by BTS, I guess. I just hope I keep loving it forever and never get bored of it, even though I most probably will. But please listen to this song and lemme know how you like it.

That’s it, then. Hope you enjoyed this post. Have you heard Spring Day? What are your thoughts on it? Are you an ARMY? Let me know down in the comments 😀.

Tell me what your ideal crush would be like and I’ll react!!

Hey Pals!! Today, I have a very fun thing planned for y’all. I think I haven’t posted something interactive in a long while…excluding the book discussions. So I decided it’s time I awaken the weird, non-sensical, yet interesting part of my brain to spice things up a little.

*whispers in subdued tones* Brain, wake up.

*does some anlom vilom (a yoga exercise) to waken up her brain* 🧘🏻

*after much ado, the brain awakens*

Good, I was starting to wonder how long you would take. If it had been any longer I would’ve had to call my ghost…and we all know how well that goes.

So anyways, I want you all to comment down below two things:

  1. Tell me what your ideal crush would look like. The clothes they would wear, the style of their hair, the curve of their jawline, etc etc….hehehe
  2. Tell me what your ideal crush would be like. Their personality, their hobbies. Would they be the bad guys/gals or would they have a heart softer than sponge. Tell me their quirks…yeah, specifically tell me their quirks because we need something weird too, like their habit of biting nails or tapping their feet when nervous. How about maybe they are all charming and sweet in the afternoon but in the middle of the night, they grow two-inches long fangs and come out to devour mankind 😲…okay, let’s scratch that…or not.

So, that’s it! Once you do that, I’ll politely thank you and later react to all of your responses in a post 😁.

I hope you participate because we want to have some fun here 😈. And make sure you submit both the person’s looks as well as their personality. Also let me know what you think of this idea!

25 Bookish Facts About Me

Hey Pals!! Today, I will share some bookish facts about me with you all. So, I was tagged for this by the lovely Claudia @ Claudia Reads Books, long ago. Go and visit her site, it’s pretty cool, filled with loads and loads of bookish content. She’s on a hiatus right now though.

So here are: 25 Bookish Facts About Me 😀.

1: I began reading novels when I was probably 8 or 9 (maybe even 7) and my first novel was The Secret Seven by Enid Blyton. I credit my sister for making me a reader today because she was the one who gifted me this novel and also the one who brought me more and more books to read over the past years.

Thank you Di

2: Every year, on my birthday, I have made it a tradition to ask for a book series as a gift and since it’s my special day, my parents can’t deny 😁.

3: I am really guilty for having 90% of the books on my TBR pile to be hyped ones. I can’t help it, they just draw my attention 😍.

4: When I don’t wanna lend out my books to someone, I don’t really refuse, all I say is that it’s with my best friend and I look at her meaningfully so she immediately exclaims just how long it would take her to finish it 😜. We both are…

5: Before starting a book, I usually used to look it up on Common Sense Media to see if it’s appropriate.

6: Often, when I am alone in my room, I pretend to make Booktube videos. And don’t tell me you’ve never done that because I know you have. It’s just so fun.

7: Once, I told my History Teacher that at times I actually read novels during her class, she said that that’s good. I thought she’d misheard me or something so I repeated the theory, emphasizing that I read novels when she teaches History. Her reply: “But at least you are reading something!” I just hope she wasn’t being sarcastic 🙂.

8: I don’t have a signed copy of any book 😒.

9: At times, I feel genuinely sad for not receiving my Hogwarts Letter 😫. And believe me, I am still waiting because I still have some hope. And guess what, I’ll wait for as long as it takes, even if it means waiting forever! I’ll be here Hogwarts, waiting…and….waiting and still waiting.

Come fast, the popcorn won’t last long 😒

10: I have a habit of reading a cute moment between two characters over and over until I get bored of it 🤭.

11: I love unpopular opinions about literally any book, I find them really interesting.

12: I love DNFing books.

13: At times, I don’t feel like watching certain movie adaptations just because I think that they might ruin the way I imagine the characters look.

14: I only read e-books as a last resort. I prefer physical ones and audiobooks over ebooks.

15: I Love Books

15: My favorite genres are historical fiction, science fiction and dystopian.

16: I actually have two accounts on GoodReads. I was never able to log in to my previous account so I had to create another one as I had forgotten the password, but it’s still there, lol.

17: I prefer hardcovers over paperbacks.

18: When I first saw a Booktube video, it took me a really long time to accept the fact that many people actually own more than 100 books. But hey! I was very young then and had only 20 books or something. So you can’t blame me!!

19: Here’s an unpopular opinion: I definitely do not HATE the Percy Jackson movies though I do strongly believe that they weren’t good.

Please don’t unfollow!!!!!!

20: I heard my first audiobook in 2019 on YouTube: Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White.

21: I miss visiting my school library and Hans Ma’am (our lovely librarian) so much 😭.

22: I don’t read much non-fiction, neither have I explored much of the horror, mystery and thriller genre.

23: I can easily skip parts of a book that I am not enjoying. I actually like doing that at times 😜.

24: When I was very young, I used to read Champaks and comics like Billu, Pinki, Tinkle and Chacha Chaudhary. Those were the best…😌. I miss reading them so much. I am gonna ask my dad to bring me some.

😂omg, they are so hilarious😂

25: A few times, I have changed the lyrics of songs to fit them to make a song relatable to a reader. Like: Bad Blood, The Climb, Story of my Life 😀. Do you wanna read some?

I Tag: Every bookworm out there!! I want to know more bookish facts about you all so make sure you do this post if you like, and notify me. Consider yourself tagged 😀!!

It hurts…

You know why it hurts so much?

Because it was you who easily made me laugh when it was too hard even to smile. It was you who squeezed my hand to tell me that you were there with me when I needed you. It was you who pulled me close when I tried to push you away. It was you who smiled lovingly at me when I was too ashamed to even look at myself. It was you who was there with me through my darkest nights and my brightest days. It was you who made me realize that there may be a chance that I can be free of my burdens, by sharing them with you, that I can open up to you, that I don’t need to hide the real me anymore.

But when I did, it slowly took you away from me, like the petals of a flower in a slight breeze. Ever-so slowly. You didn’t realize that until you were too far away to come back. And when you did, it didn’t matter that much to you. But it did to me. For I had been let down in the worst way possible. I had been let down after giving a chance to love. After believing, for the first time. Only to be proven wrong.

And that’s why it hurts.

~Nehal

Yeah, I know, it isn’t that great. But well. Also, even though this is fiction, I don’t think my dad would approve of another sad story I wrote, so shh 🤫.

The Book Snob Tag

Why am I always late in doing tags 🙂?

Hey Pals!! Today, I am doing The Book Snob Tag. I was tagged by Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for this one so a big thanks to her for the tag. When did she tag me, you might ask? Oh, not long, just about an eternity ago or something. She has a super cool site of bookish content you definitely shouldn’t miss out. So, do have a look. And now, for the tag:

Adaption Snob:
Do you always read the book before you see the movie?

Preferably yes. But at times, I do watch the adapted movies of certain books, but that sometimes demotivates me from reading the book so I avoid it as much as possible. For instance: after watching Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, I was like:

Format Snob:
You can only choose one format in which to read books for the rest of your life. Which do you choose: physical books, e-books, or audiobooks?

Physical, duh.

Ship Snob:
Would you date or marry a non-reader?

Absolutely! It doesn’t matter if my partner reads books or not as long he respects my love for reading. And who knows, maybe I’ll make him a reader too 😎. But I guess I would actually prefer a non-reader as a partner.

Genre Snob:
You have to ditch one genre—never to be read again for the rest of your life. Which one do you ditch?

Non-fiction 😁. Easy! I read books to escape the real world and non-fiction is mostly the real world. I am not a fan of it, I don’t hate it but I just don’t often find myself reaching for that genre too often. So, I would happily bid it farewell.

Uber Genre Snob:
You can only choose to read from one genre for the rest of your life. Which genre do you choose?

Fantasy because that includes several of my other favourite genres like dystopian, science fiction and romance. So I’ll get a combo. Fantasy in itself is not actually my favourite genre anymore. My favourite is historical fiction, but reading too much of it might bore me, so fantasy it is.

Community Snob:
Which genre do you think receives the most snobbery from the bookish community?

Romance definitely. I also feel like at times boys are mocked for reading YA and many adults mock people who read YA which is ludicrous. We have a to read whatever we like and nobody has the right to insult those who read stuff that they enjoy. This is something that really drives me crazy.

Snobbery Recipient:
Have you ever been snubbed for something you have been reading or for reading in general?

Not really. Over time, my friends have always realized that I love books a lot and they respect it. They don’t make comments about it. It’s like when you are a BTS fan and you try to bring them in all conversations, then your friends are like: uhh, he’s started again. But they don’t actually insult you. That’s the case with me.

Aw, my lovely friends 😢💖

When I was younger, at times I used to hide the fact that I read a lot from certain people but they never actually felt like was being boring and stuff at all which made me open up to being honest about my passion. So, now if someone asks me what I’m doing, I happily say that yes, I am reading 😊.

I Tag: You!! If you loved this post, be sure to do it and notify me 😄. I’d love to read your wonderful answers.

That’s all. Thanks for reading. Whoa, I had so much fun doing this tag. Let me know in the comments if you have ever been snubbed for reading a specific book.

A Letter To My “Present” Self 👀

Yo Nehaliya! What’s down (yeah, ‘cuz I earnestly believe that what’s up is highly overrated)?

I just realized it may not have been a good idea to have used the word Nehaliya there, but there’s no turning back now 👀. Should I be worried that I’m using an emoji in a letter? Nope ☺ (there goes another one).

Thank God, today is a good, happy-ish day for ya, or this letter would have been in very subdued tones. Except for the fact that I was told something so shocking that I found myself saying, “my life IS a lie,” it was an overall good day. I mean, hello, you can’t just go around dropping bombs like nobody ever reached the Moon and expect me to take it with a polite nod and a friendly chuckle now, can you 🙂?

I’m not kidding, by the way… 😗 According to sources, I can tell you exactly what makes me believe that no one ever reached the moon (as life-threateningly shocking that it is). Videos were leaked of Neil Armstrong and the like “shooting” that they were on the Moon. Earlier, a Russian had written this book- we never went t— but that’s not what we’ll talk about here. This is for a whole different post/debate, I don’t want people judging and unfollowing.

Moving on, Nehal, I think you should go and study History, you’ve been finding excuses not to do so since yesterday. Come on!! 😤

Okay, so it’s 10:47 pm here, you’ll study it after 3 minutes 😄. You do realize my eyes are burning!

I just realized that this whole concept of “you” and “I” is very confusing, to put it lightly.

Let me play a sweet, “decent” song, hold up.

*Dame tu Cusita starts playing in the background*

That’s better, isn’t it ☺?!

Okay, so…where was I? Oh yeah, we were talking about moons and conspiracy theories….no wait, we had moved on. We were talking about his🌳. I love history. I love reading about our world in times so different from ours. I don’t get why people don’t enjoy reading about bombs dropping and millions of people dying tragic deaths, or Gandhi Ji leading India to rebel against the British, with a non-violent movement that leads to lakhs of people dying 😃. Aah, the bliss I feel reading about these beautiful events….*sighs*

*the clock strikes 10:50*

😕

Looks like I’ll have to bid thee farewell, my dearest, awesomest, cutest, and the world’s most genius evil mind, Nehal. Sending loads of sarcasm and snarky retorts your way. May God keep thee in his curses 😇…uh, I mean blessings.

Your most dazzling self,
Nehal.

So not a narcissist 🙄. I just read your letter, Nehal, and ugh gurl, you seriously need some skills from a pro *cough me cough cough*

Credit, as well as thanks, go to Panna @ A Tomboy’s Attic for suggesting this amazing prompt! Thanks a ton, gurl, you’re a life-saver…even though I pretty much ruined the whole concept of the letter 😂.

That’s all guys. I hope you enjoyed my attempt at writing a letter to me. Do let me know what you thought of it down in the comments, and if it made you laugh. Or smile 😀.

Ps- If you didn’t smile, gimme a big smile now….yes, now! Come on, come on, there’s nothing to lose.

*waits patiently while the reader smiles*

Seriously, how hard is it? I’m not asking you to google the number of muscles that stretch in a smile 🙄.

*the reader finally smiles*

Finally, you smiled! Thank you, you lazy-bean 🙄.

Discussion Post: 5 Popular Books I Did Not Like

Hey Pals!! Today, I will be sharing with you some popular books that I did not like. Once again, wow what a long intro, but I have tests coming up and I am writing this in a hurry and my intros are never really long anyways so I guess, this is longer than usual, for which I expect to receive a good amount of praise 🙂🔪.

Disclaimer: 🥱

Note: This is a discussion post so feel free to share your views in the comments. Now, let’s get started!

1: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne

This is a historical fiction novel set in the time of World War 2 and written from the perspective of a 9-year-old who is an absolute moron and can’t even pronounce the word “Fuhrer” ‘cuz let’s accept it: kids are that dumb. This book has the most pathetic writing style I have ever read, and being the awesome critic that I am (bragging intended 🙂), I couldn’t even bear to read this without cringing. If I frown every time this book used the phrase “mouth in the shape of an O and eyes wide”, I would become a permanent sulker and all happiness would be stripped from y’all’s lives ‘cuz obviously, what would happen to you if I stopped making you all laugh!? 🙄

This book was super boring, there was absolutely nothing interesting about it. It did get better halfway through when the main character (I don’t even remember his name) befriended a Jew kid in a concentration camp who looked exactly like him, which, by the way, was a very obvious attempt by the author to show everybody is equal. The ending was just as weird, it felt like it was written just to show the cruelty of war and not very well executed. This book had a solid plot, but the worst execution ever. Didn’t enjoy it at all.

2: A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’engle

I reread this book this year because I had loved it the first time I had read it 2 years ago, but now? Man do I have issues. This book was so weird…and not in a good way. There was too much telling and not even a little showing. I can’t even remember the number of times Calvin, this random guy, shows signs of caring for our main character- Meg, (whom I hate more than online classes). Meg is probably the most frustrating character I have ever read, and that says a lot because I have read about characters like Clary Fray. The characters were all awful and everything felt exaggerated. Important scenes were not written with enough….well, importance. This book was just so cliché and so badly executed, I wanted to throw it at the wall and never see it again 😤.

3: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

I read this book last year itself and it was a pain in the butt. This book was so boring, like oh-so-boring 😭, I can’t even…ugh! It took me ages to finish this. At one point I got so annoyed that I skipped complete pages and yet I was still able to figure out enough of what was happening. This book was not bad, but if only it had been shorter I would have enjoyed it. I found Mockingjay boring too, but this was just another level. When I read it, the only thing I liked was the ending, which was very shocking, but looking back on it, it seemed pretty forced and Snow did not previously show any signs of doing “such” a thing. But well, it was still thrilling and that saved the book for me, but I still do not like it.

4: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

This book was not bad at all, it was pretty clever and it was even funny at times. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was good. The thing is, this book was too clever if that makes sense. The author made impossible things sound so possible and so exaggerated that after a point, it just crossed the limit. It was so confusing, I would read one chapter and not get a single word. This was a good book, but it did not work well for me. Even though I love science-fiction, I am not sure if I will continue with the rest of the series.

5: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan

Yes, sadly enough, I did not enjoy this book. After having finished the Heroes of Olympus series, I went into this book with expectations higher than Leo’s dragon- Festus can fly. And boy was I disappointed. This book had a great concept, seriously. I liked the idea of a God being turned mortal and I even liked how it was portrayed, but I did not feel anything else throughout the whole story. I just kept reading because I did not want to DNF this, and it was such a tiring journey 😴.

1) this book follows the same plotlines as every typical Rick Riordan book out there, and I have had enough of that. 2) this book was really slow and boring even, the lack of involvement of the seven main characters from the previous series did less to lift my spirits. And D) the plot itself felt very flat. After reading Heroes of Olympus, I was expecting some super grave, life-threatening danger, worse than Gaia herself. However, the danger in this book was so underwhelming that I don’t even remember what it was in the first place. People do tell me that the series gets better, but I never really continued.

*sighs deeply*

A Stormy Night

The lightning struck again and the wind howled louder than usual. The children all hurried away under their umbrellas, sparing a curious glance in my direction as they passed. A car drove past me, ruthlessly splashing water to its left side, my side. I heard the voice of a mother call out to her children to come home. Thunder roared overhead and the woman’s voice rose, a sharp edge creeping into it. I kept walking.

I reached the empty park, which seemed to echo with the sounds of the playing children, who had all left now. I dared to look up at the sky, tried to defeat the rage of the rain. It hurt, it did, but I tried nonetheless. The sky was grey, no surprise at all. Clouds hung, thick and monstrous, blessing me with their wrath. The rain won and I looked down, only to look up again, and smile.

I had nowhere to go, unlike the other kids. The sky was all I had, all I will ever have, but at this moment, I had it all to myself.

Top Ten Tuesday: Titles or Covers that make me Want to Read the Book

Hey Pals!! Today, after a veryyyy long time, I’m doing a Top Ten Tuesday post.

For those unaware: Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.”

The topic for this week is: Titles or Covers that make me Want to Read the Book. Without further ado, let’s get started.

So here are 10 out of a billion books that I have judged because of their mesmerising covers or breathtaking titles because let’s face it: I judge books and I will keep judging them shamelessly 🙂.

1: The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiegvater

The pure reason I want to read this series is because of its covers, because hands down, they are too good to be true! I don’t even think I will like this series all that much, I heard it has beautiful writing and I don’t like that in books, plus I am really not in the mood for any new worlds, but I don’t freaking care, I want these gorgeous delights!

2: On The Fence by Kasie West

Did I tell you I am kinda done with contemporary books? Because yeah, I am. But look at this cover, I might just die with cuteness overload! A guy who is thin, wears a white T-shirt and jeans? This cover artist has brought to life exactly what my ideal guy would look like (not talking about personality here, we’re talking about looks). Let’s just ignore the fact that we can’t see his face, and assume he has Damon-like hair.

3: These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

Yes, I still haven’t read this book! The cover artist of this book deserves an applause *here I actually applaud*. I don’t think this is the most original cover out there, but I love it nonetheless. Not to mention, I do not think I will like this book either, like I said- high fantasy is a no for me right now. But the cover!!

4: This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

The font of this title is everything! I have actually tried reading this book two times, but I always gave up after the first two chapters. I don’t think the way author kept using the word “monsters” fits well with me. But the cover guys, the COVER!!

5: The Knife Of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

It’s the title for this one. Doesn’t this title intrigue you? I mean, what a clever way to title your book, just name it something that makes sense just as much as it doesn’t make sense and bam! Readers buy the book only to avoid dying with suspense 🙂.

6: Ace Of Shades by Amanda Moody

I love classy this cover is, and I love the word shades in the title. I don’t even know what this book is about so don’t bother asking me ‘cuz I am too busy gawking at the cover 🤤.

7: And I Darken by Kiersten White

See what I meant by These Violent Delights’ cover not being the most original one out there? For this one, once again, it is both the title and the cover. And I Darken is such a mysterious title, if only kids like us knew how to title our imaginary books like this. *sighs*

8: The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

This title has always sounded very quirky to me and the cover in itself is just too cute. But once again, I never picked it up due to the fact that contemporary is not my comfort genre anymore.

9: Dial A For Aunties by Jesse Q Sutanto

I mean 😆, this title. I even started reading this book, I started the audiobook because I was unable to sleep…fortunately this book made me fall asleep and after 2-3 chapters, I woke up and realized that the book is on and shut it and went to sleep again, never bothering to pick it up again.

10: They Went Left by Monica Hesse

This is a historical fiction novel set after the events of World War 2. I like the title because it sort of depicts how most people would take the right path, but here, the characters took left, I guess, I don’t know, I just like it.

That’s all for me. Have you read any of these books? What are your thoughts on them? Do you think I should give any of ’em a shot? What is a book you want to read only because of its cover? Let me know in the comments 😀
