The Feelings Tag
Hey Pals!! Today, I am doing The Feelings Tag. This tag was created by Jheel @ fantasybookworm. I was tagged by the lovely Jheel herself (looooong time back, sorry for being late 😞) and also by Esdi @ Esdi Blogs. Thanks to both of them for tagging me, do have a look at their sites, they are lovely! ✨
The Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and give a link to the blog.
- Answer the 5 feelings given to you.
- Write the reason in 5 to 6 lines of why does that particular book come under that feeling.
- Nominate between 5-12 other bloggers.
- Give your nominees 5 feelings too.
- Notify your nominees once you’ve uploaded your post.
A book that made me cry all day!
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I didn’t necessarily cry all day but this book did make me cry and gave me a hangover that lasted for quite a few days both the times that I read it. The last few chapters were just too gloomy, too well-written and too deep.
A book that was not that great…..
Tunnel of Bones by V.E. Schwab. This is the sequel to City of Ghosts and I really liked that book which made me have high expectations for this one but I didn’t end up loving it as I had expected. This book felt really flat and obvious, I mean, it did have a fine plot but it wasn’t powerful. I wish I had liked it because I wanted to, but it was not that great….
A book that was next to perfection!
Umm… I don’t really know. I don’t think that any book that I read, no matter how much I loved it, was just next to perfection 😅. This question shouldn’t be that hard but I can’t come up with anything. What would your answer be?
A book that touched my heart deep within.
Here, I’ll mention a book that I don’t talk about much and that is The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. I read it two or three years ago and I all I can say is that I fell in love with this book and this author since then. This is a deep, dark book with a magical feeling to it. I loved these characters, the illustrations, the writing style that seemed to flow like magic and I loved the ending. This book did indeed touch my heart and I highly recommend it, you should give it a try. I might even do a full book review 😉.
A book that is above all the books ever written
Again, a hard one, so forgive me for choosing something really obvious…
I Tag:
- Fajar @ The Write Path
- Lucy @ Bookworm Blogger
- Riddhi @ Whispering Stories
- Ahaana @Windows to Worlds
- Becca @ Toastie Books
- Alicia @ A Colorful Bookworm
- You!! If you are reading this post, enjoying it, and want to be tagged, please consider yourself tagged by me 😀.
My Questions To You:
- A book that always gives you giggling vibes.
- A book that was neither good nor bad.
- A book character that always made you roll your eyes.
- A book that was way too deep for you to enjoy.
- A book you did the mistake of reading during a slump.
End of 2020 Superlatives Tag
I was tagged for this by Alicia @ A Colorful Bibliophile and Naemi @ A Book Owl’s Corner. Both of them have some *epic* content for bookworms, so make sure to visit their blogs. As for the tag, let’s dive right in!
Rules:
- Fill out each of the prompts with your answer. Each character/book you choose has to be one you read in 2020.
- Tag as many or few people as you want, but preferably somewhere around 10.
- Have fun and happy new year!!
Best Villain
Count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate Events. He…aah, he’s such a well written character. From finding him totally stupid to hating him more than anyone to feeling some weird sort of pity for him, I felt a lot of emotions for Count Olaf, and overall he made a perfect and entertaining villain.
Best Protagonist
Magnus Chase!! He makes an amazing protagonist, and a great friend. Oh, and his humor, boy is it awesome.
Best Side Character
Celeste from The Selection series by Kiera Cass. I don’t really know why, but Celeste felt like the finest character that this author created for this series. Especially in The One, I really liked her in that book.
Tough Luck– A character you’re glad you aren’t
Laia from An Ember in the Ashes. She undoubtedly goes through a lot in this book and I would never want to be in her place.
Best Place to Raise a Family– A setting, in another world, you wouldn’t mind settling in
Well, I did reread Harry Potter in 2020 so…😜
Uninhabitable– A setting you would never want to live in
The Hunger Games…pretty self explanatory, I am sure *shudders*.
Most Likely to Succeed– An indie or under hyped book that everyone would like if they just tried it
The Girl with Seven Names by Hyeonsek Lee. This is the true story of a girl who escaped North Korea, and it followed her journey into China and beyond. I was utterly mesmerized while reading this book. Like this book, it hit hard man. It really did.
Life of the Party– A book that kept you laughing and having a good time
Big Nate: The Boy with the Biggest Head in the World. This is by far the funniest book I’ve read and that says a lot. I couldn’t control my laughter reading it, so if you haven’t read it, I’m telling you, it’s worth a shot.
Most Unforgettable– A book you couldn’t forget if you tried
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. I have read this book four freaking times in the past months, and my love for it has not reduced in the slightest. I’ve gushed about this book so much already, that if you still haven’t read it…how come!?!???
Most Unique– A book unlike anything you’ve ever read before
Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. It deals with important issues like death and gun violence. The concept of this book is pretty awesome and the execution kind of brought about the meaning of the book in a more profound way. It’s written in verse and takes place majorly in a freaking elevator. The execution was everything in this book. The fact that it’s so short, and yet conveys such a strong meaning is just mind blowing.

Harry Potter forever favourite. 🥺❤️
I haven’t read a lot of books with villains but I guess the villain from The Guest List is definitely one of the best villains in my recent reading. Not naming her/him to avoid spoilers. But the character has been very well written – like one of those smooth, unsuspecting villains.

Oh, I have heard a lot about guest list, but never thought of reading it. But now I want it asap!!!!!!

And thanks again for doing the tag, Nehal, this was so fun to read!
