Six Word Story #15

Six word stories can be a life-saver when you just don’t know what to post, hehe. Here’s one that I just came up with:

When will COVID leave for good?!

I guess that’s the one question bothering all of us. *sighs dramatically*

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it! My brain is out of ideas regarding blogs and I got a fever again so if you see less posts from me, know that this is the reason 😒.

Don’t forget to leave your six word story replies down in the comments πŸ˜€.

  1. Covid is a virus. Viruses mutate. They tend to mutate in ways that make them more contagious. Their main goal is to stay around. So covid will eventually mutate into something that is similar to the flu. Eventually it will probably be recognized as something completely different. That is what happened to the Spanish flu. That may have been what happened with the Black death. That is why Omicron, although it is scary how it can affect vaccinated people, could be a sign that Covid is starting to end. But you can’t really predict what a virus will do next. It could be that it will just die out from vaccinations. It might be with us for centuries but due to vaccines it wont be an issue like polio.

  2. Well, Nehal dear. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus *yes his name sounds weird, I know* said he was optimistic that the Covid-19 pandemic will end in 2022 only if inequity ends. WHO’s Director said “as enter the third year of the Covid-19 pandemic, I’m confident that this will be the year we end it – but only if we do it together”. He added, “while no country is out of the woods from the pandemic, we have many new tools to prevent and treat Covid-19. The longer inequity continues, the higher the risks of this virus evolving in ways we can’t prevent or predict. If we end inequity, we end the pandemic”. The WHO chief said millions of people have missed out on routine vaccination, services for family planning, treatment for communicable and non-communicable diseases.

We need all countries to work together to reach the global target of vaccinating 70% of people in all countries by the middle of 2022.

This looks like my exam answer sheetπŸ˜†
