On one side is the gulab jamun,
Like the big red evening sun,
As sweet as the scent
Of rain to a pluviophile,
As warm as the hug
From my friend after the lockdown.
And on the other side sits the aloo chaat,
Whose spiciness is as sharp
As the taste of teeth
Against mouth ulcers,
Painful,
Yet relieving.
And of the two mouth-waterers,
Help me, pals,
For I dare not choose
Which one to eat first 😭!?
