3 Types of Bookworms

Hey Pals!! Today, I am doing a post on 3 Types of Bookworms.

There are bookworms everywhere in life. It doesn’t matter how many books you read, you are still a bookworm. Today, I randomly decided to break down all bookworms into 3 categories on my observations…you know, just for fun 😁. So here they are:

1: The Bookworm who Reads a Couple of Books a Few Months or so:

These bookworms are the ones that read books from time to time. They enjoy reading and find pleasure in it but not enough that they are usually found reading. There could be various reasons that prevent them to read a lot but still, reading is something they appreciate rather than something they love.

2: The Bookworm who Reads Books as a Hobby:

These bookworms totally love reading books and it is usually what they do when they are free. While they have a lot of other hobbies too, reading is usually in their Top 5. They are crazy for books and always find time to do some reading.

And next, we have the topmost category of bookworms, the ones who…

3: live and breathe books ✌🏻

Bear be like: I don’t freaking caaare about what you wanna tell me, just lemme read in peace!!

For these people, their life literally depends on books, not figuratively. Books to them are what food is to others. They don’t read books, they devour them. Reading to them is not a passion but a necessity of life. Something they do in order to stay alive. A kind of a healthy addiction! These people get awkward when answering questions like: What are you doing? Coz the answer is always the same. They have reached that point in their life where they cannot imagine a future without books. They are never too busy to not be able to read.

Pro tip: Never, never, never, never, never, NEVERRRR in your wildest dreams, disturb such readers while they are reading…unless you want a mortal enemy πŸ™‚.

Note: It’s perfectly okay to be any kind of these bookworms. I’m saying this to make sure nobody thinks I’m trying to be insulting, because I obviously am not πŸ˜‰.

Anyways, let me know in the comments which of these three categories you put yourself in 😁.

  2. I belong to the 3rd. Like, my parents don’t allow me to read and buy books just because I don’t study (but that doesn’t stop me😜)

  4. I’m the last one…
I am literally not allowed to go near the library because I mess up my social life.
One of my friends is always present near the library to stop me from going in..they know if I get books I’ll ghost them until I’ve read the whole thing πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚

  5. Type 2!!! I love reading but it’s difficult to find timeee but as soon as I do – I’m reading. If it’s a perfect book – I usually move to type 3 – not doing anything else till the book is done. And then I feel sad that the book is over. 😦

  6. Love this post, and that bear gif 🀣🀣
I probably belong to the 1st category of readers, but my middle school self would’ve been in the 2nd one……..so does that mean I’m also in the neutral category? πŸ˜‚

  7. Haha I’m definitely number 3 πŸ˜… I would die without my books, I would have nothing left to do in my life. Ok that sounds bad, but like you said, healthy addiction πŸ˜† I see my future in a nice house with a beautiful, dark old library, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Ok yeah, maybe not a healthy addiction. 🀨

That’s because it becomes quite difficult to manage time, but whenever I get time I become Type 3. Else, type 2!!! πŸ˜‚
BTW, this post was really good Nehal! I loved your classicfication πŸ˜‰

    1. Ah, I’m kinda the same you know. Like I can’t live without books too, but I also do other things, so that’s not what I’m USUALLY doing.
Aaaah thanks a lot. I’m so glad you like that 😍, I’ve been meaning to create one since quite some time now

  10. I think I am #2. However, I have a part of #3 that is true- never disturb me while reading a book. I usually get so engaged in a book that I don’t want people interrupting me

I almost feel as if I in between #2 and #3

  11. I am in the 2nd category but I want to be in the 3rd category.

I want to read more books of all kind, fiction–non-fiction, biography, novels, mystery, history, philosophical and motivational books.

Well, I don’t want to be called a bookworm because I πŸ˜ƒam not that.

I am working on Imagination which is my favourite topic. So, to get a better imagination I have to observe more people, their lifestyle, love and what they miss? etc. We should check the output of a book. I enjoyed your blog πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ€ͺ

    1. That’s alright. Most people find themselves relating to the second category lol.
Honestly, I am not much into the non fiction genre but I love historical fiction and and would love to autobiographies.
Maybe one day, you will be a bookworm, if you want.
      Hm…nice thinking.
Thanks a lot, I am glad you liked it.

  12. I used to be the third kind and then the second kind and now I’m the first one but only because I get super busy with university and don’t get as much time to read as I would like to have.
