Cruelty of authors

They pen down a great story
But then they end it!

They invent lovable characters
But in the end they kill them!

They make the saddest hearts laugh
But then they break them!

They create fantastic worlds
But we cannot visit them!

They talk about supernatural powers
But we can’t have them!

They make us love their characters
But we know we’ll never meet them!

They create doors to amazing worlds
But we never find them!

Welcome to my site where I talk about all things bookish and from time to time, put my writing skills to test.

  1. So true!!!!!!!! The number of times I had hoped to find my Hogwarts letter in the mail, the number of times I hoped an old ancient wardrobe will be the entrance to Narnia, the number of times I’ve cried at the death of a character I fell in love with or cried when an amazing book ended = heattbreak.

      1. Welcome!
Well, on the WP Reader i can see that your site is named Fictionally Crazy while tiction’s is book and words….which is exactly the opposite of what it should be….so i thought u both had exchanged your blog headers…

      2. What? U can’t be serious!
Nehal, u were BOOKS AND WORDS while Tiction was FICTIONALLY CRAZY!
U even told in your post where in u were asking for suggestions to change your site name, that u wanted something better than BOOKS AND WORDS and not FICTIONALLY CRAZY!
U must be joking! I literally can’t believe it!

I was always fictionally crazy and she was books and words.
Wh–why are you trying to confuse me πŸ˜žπŸ™ƒ

      4. Hey tiction!
That’s what! I think u are right, there is some technical glitch with WP! It shows u both have exchanged your site names!

  3. This is lovely. I remember asking my mother when I was little whether the wizarding world was real (still wish it was, after all these years!) and she told me; they exist in the author’s mind and you could build a world too in your mind!
It just wasn’t enough though. I still wish it were all real!
