5 Hilarious Things About Me and The Memez Tag

Hey Pals ๐Ÿ˜‚!! Hope you are all safe ๐Ÿ˜‚. Today, I’ll be sharing 5 Hilarious Facts About Me ๐Ÿ˜‚ as well as do The Memez Tag ๐Ÿ˜‚. Okay, so I just thought it would look really weird fun to use this emoji at the end of every sentence ๐Ÿ˜‚.

5 Hilarious Things About Me Tag ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Rules: ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • You just give the link of the person who nominated you and creatorโ€™s link too (i.e. Aaliyaโ€™s Nook).
  • Write the rules.
  • Write ten fun facts about you, the more hilarious the better.
  • Then you nominate as many people as you like.
I don’t know why I am doing this tag, I don’t think I’m funny

Anyways, here are 5 weird facts about me that you might find hilarious ๐Ÿ˜‚.

  • I love Maths…as long as I get all answers right.

  • At times, I wonder if my whole life is a really long dream and I am just sleeping and one day, I’ll wake up and realize it was all a dream ๐Ÿคจ.
  • I read an article at Google about the rarest emotions. One of the emotions they mentioned was “sonder” which apparently means the revelation that every random person has a life just as complex as your own. I never felt that emotion (sonder) before, but after reading that article, I started to feel it…a lot!
  • A lot of times when I hear about new-to-me diseases, I start to feel that I’ve been affected by those diseases. For instance, I will hear about something called “nail cancer” and I’ll be like…

The Rules:

  • Every Wednesday, a prompt would be given by us on our blogs.
  • Youโ€™d have to find your favorite GIF related to that prompt and post it any day of the week you want along with your most recent emoji on your blog under the tag name- GIF-y Love. We too would share ourย weirdย favorite GIFs
  • You must tag both the creators of the tag-ย Tictionย andย Nehal.
  • The next week, weโ€™ll give a shoutout to our favorite GIF among all of yours.

(The results and next weekโ€™s prompt will be posted on Tictionโ€™s blog).

Thatโ€™s it. Make sure you laugh a lot in the process, too! In case of any doubts, just leave a commentย ๐Ÿค—.

Last Week’s Results:

The prompt for last week was: Harry Potter ๐Ÿ˜€. Yeah, I’m so happy because…well, Harrrry Pooootterrrr!! Now, from all the gifs that we got, our mutual favorites are:

Discussion Post: 5 Popular Authors I Need To Give A Try

Hey Pals!! Today, I am gonna be talking about some popular authors whose books I haven’t yet read. These are the authors I am yet to give a try and I feel like I should.

Spoilers: By the end of this post, I’ll probably lose half my followers because of the wonderful list I have here ๐Ÿ™‚.

1: John Green

Yes, you read right. John Greeeeeeen! I haven’t read a single book by this author, and yes, that includes The Fault in our Stars. There isn’t much of a reason for not reading his books except that I was never much of a YA contemporary romance reader and so I have recently gotten into these kinds of books. Everybody keeps on praising this author and I think I will read a few of his books quite soon.

2: Maggie Stiefvater

So many people are all in awe of the writing style of this author. I don’t care about any of that. The reason I want these books is purely because of the gorgeousness (that’s a word, right?) of these covers. I have never seen any book covers as beautiful as these. This is the probably the part where you realize that yes, I judge books too. But I can’t help it, these covers are goals, man!!

3: Brandon Sanderson

I know ๐Ÿ˜—, I know ๐Ÿค, I know ๐Ÿ˜ฌ! This is getting more and more unpopular and I bet many of you are probably wondering what in the world is wrong with me.

But here’s the thing: I discovered this author pretty recently and I just haven’t gotten around to reading any of his books. The other trouble is that I don’t know where to begin. I do own The Mistborn Trilogy but I am not entirely sure why I haven’t read it yet. I gave it to my sister as a birthday present and currently she’s reading the first book so I’ll just wait until she finishes it. And then… I’ll probably still not read it ๐Ÿคช but I’ll think about it.

4: Laini Taylor

The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy has been on my TBR since forever. I have been avoiding it mainly because of, well, content. I feel like this is a dark series and so up to this point, I haven’t picked it up. But I was always so excited to read it. I think that the books in this trilogy have amazing covers and I have heard so many praises on Booktube about this author’s books that I can’t help but feel that it’ll be worth reading.

And now, to add the cherry ๐Ÿ’ to the cake ๐ŸŽ‚, I have:

5: Rainbow Rowell

Please don’t kill me ๐Ÿ˜•!!

Like I said, YA contemporary romance wasn’t my thing until a really long time. Believe me, all of these books are on my TBR, I’m just waiting for that right moment to come, that moment when something happens that hits me with the sudden irresistible desire to read Fangirl.

Have you read any of these authors’ books? What are your thoughts on them? Do you think I should give them a try in the near future? Do you have a similar tbr? Did you just unfollow me ๐Ÿ˜ฑ? Let me know in the comments.

That’s all. Thanks for reading. Stay safe. Ciao!!

I am tired now,
It’s exhausting
Being questioned all the time.
I can’t take it anymore.
No matter how honest I am,
They still put a finger at my genuineness.
And who cares, I don’t care what they think,
It doesn’t matter if they don’t believe me.
It does.

Can’t I do one thing without worrying
That it will upset them?
Is it bad to refuse?
If it’s not, then why do I find it so hard?
Why should I humor them,
And not tell them what I think of them?
Why? Only to say it to someone else?
They don’t believe me, and I don’t care.
I do.

It really doesn’t matter though, does it?
If I was in their place, would I believe myself?
Hell no.
Then why does it hurt,
So much?
How many times do I feel like saying,
“I’d prove it you if I had a lie detector”?
Why should I care? For their feelings?
When they don’t, for mine?
Why, you ask, why?

For they are not just anyone,
But the ones I call my friends.

This or That Book Tag

Hey Pals!! Toady, I am doing The This or That Book Tag. I was tagged by Tiction @ Fictionally Crazy as well as Tess @ Unbound Library. Thank you so much for tagging me pals. Do visit both the blogs, they are remarkably interesting to every bookworm out there.

The Rules:

  • Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks)
  • Thank the blogger who tagged you!
  • Tagย other people to do the tag and spread the love!

Reading on the couch or on the bed?

I prefer reading physical books and e-books on the couch but I prefer reading audiobooks lying down on my bed, doing absolutely nothing productive to anyone.

This is me being unproductive

Sweet or Salty snacks while reading?

I prefer none, but if I have to choose, I’ll for sure go with sweet!! I just freaking love sweets, especially the balushai!! Isn’t it just absolutely mouth-watering ๐Ÿคค!?

Trilogies or Quartets?

At this point, I don’t even know how many quartets even exist, they are so few! But I love trilogies way too much. I love the definite feeling that comes with finishing a trilogy, it just somehow feels right.

First person or Third person POV?

I don’t like third person POV at all. It feels like the author is just displaying their exceptionally metaphorical writing with words so rare not even the Oxford Dictionary would have it. First person feels more real and allows me to feel much closer to the characters.

Night or Morning reader?

Doesn’t matter really. I read anytime.

Libraries or bookstores?

๐Ÿ˜ Dash and Lily ๐Ÿ˜

Anything that has books is good for me but since I miss my school library so much, I’ll go with libraries ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

Books that make you laugh or make you cry?

Well, I do love to get my heart torn when reading a book but I can’t deny that laughing is a better exercise so give me a funny book, please.

Black or White book covers?

Black!! They just look so stunning!!

Character driven or plot driven?

Plot driven, I believe. Even if I have great characters in a book, if I don’t have a fine plot, I’ll lose interest in it.

I Tag:

There is no pressure to anyone for doing this tag if they don’t want to for any reason. I totally get it and don’t mind at all. Also, do check out these bloggers, they all have amazing sites.

That’s all!! Thank you so much for reading. Let me know whether you prefer black covers or white ones, down in the comments. Stay Safe. Ciao!!

Taylor Swift Playlist-a-thon

Before anything else, I’d just like to give a massive credit to Tiction for helping me in making the draft. I am stressed up due to exams and if not for her, I may not have participated in this at all. Thank you so much, lah dear ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ญ. You’re killing me with kindness.

Hey Pals!! Today, I will be sharing the books I plan to read for my Taylor Swift Playlist-a-Thon. Yeah, talk about posting on only Sundays and Wednesdays ๐Ÿ˜‚. But hey, who makes a schedule to follow it!?

This Read-a-thon was introduced to me by Riddhi @ Whispering Stories and believe me when I say that it is just goals for a Swiftie and a bookworm! This was created by three booktubers: KaseyLisa and Daryan. They created book related prompts to like, every one of her songs. Isn’t that just fab! It starts today and runs all the way till Tay’s birthday on 13 December. We can make our own TBR of 8 to 13 books and we have to read it within the month. Here is a link to the original video.

So, I am gonna participate and my goal is 8 books, one from each Taylor Swift’s album (I would’ve loved to go for 13 but I have exams so I’ll probably read these too after 27).

1: Our Song: Listen to an audiobook (Album: Taylor Swift)

Maybe This Time by Kaise West. It’s high time I actually dive in YA contemporary romance books ๐Ÿ˜‰. I have an audiobook for this available. Though, most of the books on this list will be audiobooks so…๐Ÿคช

2: The Way I Loved You: Read a book with the enemies-to-lovers trope (Album: Fearless)

I Hate You More by Alexandra Moody. This keeps being recommended to me on Storytel so I thought it’s worth a shot.

3: Mine: Read an own voices book (Album: Speak Now)

I have absolutely no idea what “own voices” means. But Tiction helped me out, saying that The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas is an own voices books, even though she herself doesn’t know what it is ๐Ÿ˜‚. Do help us clueless people out!

4: All Too Well: Read a book by your favourite author (Album: Red)

If I do read Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman, then it’ll be my third reread of this book ๐Ÿ˜.

5: I Wish You Would: Read a book someone recommended to you (Album: 1989)

By Your Side by Kaise West. I’m wondering how happy this post will make Tiction and Riddhi ๐Ÿ˜ (because they love this author). Yeah, I’m planning to read 2 books by Kaise West already.

6: โ€ฆReady for It?: Read a new release (Album: Reputation)

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End by Jeff Kinney. I’ll just have to coax my parents into buying this book as soon as my exams end ๐Ÿ˜€.

7: I Forgot that You Existed: Read a book you already started once but never finished (Album: Lover)

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. And, if you haven’t yet guessed, I am purely reading it because of the Netflix show it’s recently been adapted into. This is a book I’m currently reading so I’m kinda bending the rules here as I’m not sure that’s what the prompt meant, but hello, rules are meant to be bent and broken, lah ๐Ÿ˜!

8: invisible string: Read a fluffy contemporary (Album: Folklore)

Geekerella by Ashley Poston. I’m finally going to pick up this book, after having it on my TBR pile since forever ๐Ÿ˜Œ.

All of this sounds really great, doesn’t it? When only I know that I won’t be able to read all of these books, in which case, even more bending-rules-to-such-a-point-that-breaking-of-rules-occur may happen ๐Ÿ˜.

That’s all. Thanks for reading. Let me know all your thoughts on these books. Stay safe. Ciao!!

GIF-y Love #3

Hey Pals!! Today, we are back with our third week of GIF-y Love!!

So, basically GIF-y Love is a weekly meme started by Tiction and me.

The Rules:

  • Every Wednesday, a prompt would be given by us on our blogs.
  • Youโ€™d have to find your favorite GIF related to that prompt and post it any day of the week you want along with your most recent emoji on your blog under the tag name- GIF-y Love. We too would share our weird favorite GIFs
  • You must tag both the creators of the tag- Tiction and Nehal.
  • The next week, weโ€™ll give a shoutout to our favorite GIF among all of yours.

(The results and next weekโ€™s prompt will be posted on Tictionโ€™s blog)

Thatโ€™s it. Make sure you laugh a lot in the process, too! In case of any doubts, just leave a comment ๐Ÿค—.

Last Week’s Results:

We got a lot of participants last week which we are so thankful for. Thanks to everyone who participated. You pals seem to be really loving it, and if I must say so myself, GIF-y Love is quite a hit ๐Ÿ˜‰. Last week, we received several hilarious GIFs featuring “laziness”.

It was quite hard deciding our mutual favorite. But here it is, submitted to us by A Potterhead’s World *insert round of applause* (here, I actually put down the phone and give an awkward applause):

This is just the next level of laziness ๐Ÿ˜œ, isn’t it!? Now for the GIF that is my favorite, I have here:

How you like that, huh!?

Prompt for this Week izz:

I’m Sorry

Yup, you read right, “I’m Sorry” it is. Though we’re so not sorry for giving this prompt ๐Ÿ˜. Now, let the weirdness out, and show us your favorite GIF related to is it too late now to say sooooorry.

Here is my favorite GIF related to Sorry

Confession Time: I haven’t watched Friends ๐Ÿคช even though two of my friends constantly pester me on giving it a shot!! Anyways, I really like the sarcasm in this GIF. Look at those eyes ๐Ÿ˜€.

That’s all pals. Thanks for reading. We await your weird GIFs participation. Stay safe. Ciao!!

Just Some Bibliophilic Things #2 |Favorite Author|and Lost in Translation #1

First of all pals, thank you so so much for the 200 followers ๐Ÿ˜!! I am beyond grateful to you all. I would’ve made a post earlier, but I only post on Wednesdays and Sundays. But you all are so wonderful, I love you pals!! Thanks to each one of you for making me reach this milestone ๐Ÿ’–.

Now, for the two tags, here we go:

Just Some Bibliophilic Things

Hey Pals!! Today, I am participating in another Just Some Bibliophilic Things. This is a weekly tag hosted by Riddhi @ Whispering Stories.

This Weekโ€™s Question: Who is your favourite author? Why? Which book is an absolute favourite of yours written by that particular author?

My favorite author for now is definitely Neil Gaiman. I haven’t read many books by him, just three, but I surely will read many more. There is just something unique about Gaiman’s writing style that I haven’t seen in any other author. He writes as one would use magic. His words have a lot of power and he always creates a dark, quiet, beautiful atmosphere in his books.

And that’s not the only thing. He’s a remarkable storyteller. I listened to Norse Mythology by him and though it took me a little while to get used to it, I was hooked to Gaiman’s voice. It is just spellbinding!! Absolutely incredible.

My favorite Neil Gaiman book is probably Norse Mythology or The Graveyard Book.

I loved this book so much that I have actually listened to it 3 times and since I don’t usually reread audiobooks, that says a lot.

I read it this one quite a good while ago and I emerged out of it being absolutely stunned. I can’t choose between the two, both are awesome.

Lost in Translation #1

This is tag created byย Eryn @ Love Your Shelf. I was tagged by the creator herself. Thanks for tagging me Eryn. Basically, we take our last reads and use Google Translate to translate them into 3 different languages and then back to the original language to see how messy the results can be.

The Rules:

  1. Pick the last book you read.
  2. Put that book in Google Translate and translate it into 3 different languages, then back to English. (Please put which languages you used to translate them!)
  3. See how close (or how far) it is to the original book title.
  4. Lastly, put the original book title at the bottom and talk about your last read!

Translated Title (English-Kazakh-Portuguese-Serbian-English): Glass Odd

Any guesses? Which book could it be? Haha, time to roast Google Translate!!

Actual Title: Throne of Glass

Wow, what a roast, isn’t it!? I don’t think this book was “odd” in any way, so the translated title comes out as weird ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I Tag:

I had a lot of fun doing both of these tags, you should check them out too, they are really interesting. Also, there is no pressure in doing the tag if you don’t want to for any reason.

That’s all. Thanks for reading. Let me know who your favorite author is down in the comments. Stay safe. Ciao!!

The Outstanding Blogger Award

Hey Pals!! I am so happy to announce that I have been nominated for The Outstanding Blogger Award by two lovely blogger friends.

A huge thanks to Aanya @ Soaring Firebolt for nominating me. Guys, go check out her site, it’s filled with stuff every Potterhead would love plus she even has her own book out which is so c.o.o.l. I highly recommend visiting her blogs.

Another big thanks to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for the nomination. She has loads of bookish content, as well as her own tag, Just Some Bibliophilic Things, which is so f.a.b. Don’t miss out her fun blog either.

This award was created by Colton Beckwith. This is the original post!

Also, the second week’s prompt for GIF-y Love is now out on Tiction’s blog for anyone to participate. Check it out here.

The Rules:

  1. Provide the link to the creatorโ€™s original award post. (very important: see why in step 5)
  2. Answer the questions provided.
  3. Create 7 unique questions.
  4. Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the awardโ€™s creator, nor the blogger that nominated you, can be nominated.
  5. At the end of 2020, every blog that ping-backs the creatorโ€™s original post will be entered to win the 2020 Outstanding Blogger Award!

My Answers to Riddhi’s Questions:

(Aanya wrote in her post to choose any questions from the ones she answered but honestly, I tried but couldn’t do it ๐Ÿ˜…. Even in exams, choice questions make me go bananas. I’m sorry, my bad! Hope you don’t mind Aanya. I’ll just answer Riddhi’s questions.)

1: What’s the one thing you’ll never do?

Huh ๐Ÿ˜‚? Idk, this question made me laugh. This is weird. Probably never eat anything non-veg. Sorry pals, creativity seems to be zero right now. Again, what is this question Riddhi ๐Ÿ˜‚!?

2: One book you will protect with your life?

Omg none! As much as I love books, life is way more important ๐Ÿ˜ฑ!

3: The most tragic moment of your life? (If you do not mind sharing)

Ah, let’s not talk about it right now and spoil the happy mood of anyone here, huh?

4: One thing you enjoyed about staying at home for the past few months?

Talking with friends and chatting with them on WhatsApp between classes. It is so much fun.

5. The one food that you will eat, even on a full stomach?

What better time to use the site icon, huh ๐Ÿ˜€!?

Cause an apple a day…never did keep the doctor away from me ๐Ÿ˜–. But anyways, I love apple way too much. I like NEED it as a salad at lunch and dinner. I have an addiction to apples.

6: One book that you can reread forever and not get bored?

Harreh Pottah!!

7. Which post that you have written is your favourite? Share the link as well.

I wrote a post named It Will Hurt. It’s a fun, short story that I wrote and I think y’all might like it.

I Nominate:

Beware: Emojizzz on the way!!

To all the people I have nominated, including You, there is no pressure in doing the award if you don’t

  2. What was one dream you had that you gave up on?
  3. Describe your blog in three words.
  4. Maths…love or hate?
  5. What is the most annoying thing about your sibling (and if you don’t have one, do you want to)?
  6. Have you ever recommended someone something you haven’t done (like a movie you haven’t watched)?
  7. Share a good movie recommendation.

That’s all. Thanks for reading. Do let me know if you love or hate Maths down in the comments. Stay safe. Ciao!!

Ps: If you in any way think that I love Maths, you are so wrong lah ๐Ÿ™‚!!
