Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Book Quotes

Hey Pals!! Today, I am participating, for the first time, in Top Ten Tuesday 😉.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week, we have to talk about 10 of our favorite things related to books. This week’s topic is:

Favorite Quotes

Here are some of my favorite book quotes, all aren’t necessarily quotes, some are just great lines:

Note: There might be minor/major spoilers here and there as a few of these quotes are the last lines in the books so make sure to skip that quote to avoid getting spoiled.

I am haunted by humans.

“Let us find the dam snack bar,” Zoe said.

“Bob says hello,” He told the stars.

The Argo II sailed into the night.

“Fifteen men on the dead man’s chest

Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!

Drink and the devil had done for the rest

Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!”

Suddenly, I turn to him and toss it in his direction. “And may the odds–” I say. I throw it high so he has plenty of time to decide whether to knock it aside or accept it.

Gale’s eyes train on me, not the berry, but at the last moment, he opens his mouth and catches it. He chews, swallows, and there’s a long pause before he says, “–be ever in your favor.” But he does say it.

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, and the one who doesn’t read, lives just one.

I haven’t read any books in A Song of Ice and Fire series but obviously, this quote is known to a wide audience of readers, including me.

Beware of Silas Scratch

And lastly, to end it with the final lines of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I have:

The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.

Let me know down below one of your all-time favorite bookish quotes. Hope you enjoyed reading mine. I absolutely adore these quotes/lines/moments/come-on-you-get-it.

That’s it then. Thanks for reading. Stay safe. Ciao!!
